Keeping no contact when you still want to text them
No contact means not reaching out to an ex, or anyone you are taking space from, for a while. It gives you room to settle without restarting the same conversation.
The hard part is that the urge to text doesn't fade on schedule.
Wanting to text is normal
Wanting to share good news, ask how they are, or say one more thing is part of missing someone. It doesn't mean you're doing no contact wrong.
Write the text anyway
Typing the message out takes much of the pressure off. Write it exactly as you would send it, then wait.
A few hours later, you often find you no longer need to send it.
Small things that help
- Archive their real chat so it isn't the first thing you see.
- Tell a friend when the urge is strong.
- Plan something for the evenings that used to be theirs.
- Notice the days you didn't think about texting at all.
If you slip
Sending one text doesn't undo the progress you've made. Pick up again from today.
Something you need to say?
Said, Not Read is made for the text you'd rather not send. It looks and feels like a real chat, down to the read receipt, so the message feels said. It just never reaches them.
Make a contact, write it out, and watch it send.

Questions
How long should no contact last?
A common rule of thumb is 30 days, but there's no fixed number. Choose a length that gives you room, and change it if you need to.
Will they know I wrote to them?
No. Said, Not Read isn't connected to your real contacts or messages, so nothing reaches them.
